Cleansers

Our face is one of our most valuable assets. It serves as the front liner of our entire being. This is also the main reason why an increasing number of people both men and women alike are growing a deep obsession about making it look fresh and silky smooth all the time.

If you want to have deep facial cleansing, more than your usual soap and water routine, you may want to consider facial cleansers. Cleansers are facial skin care products that are not only used to make our faces spotless and free of bacterial deposits. It can also remove dead skin cells, oil, and all the other types of skin pollutants found on our face. It also helps unclog pores which can prevent skin blemishes such as acne.

Cleansers are intended to be mild. In fact, many people are guilty of using cleansers more than once every day. Using a face cleanser is one out of the three most important skin care routine promoted by dermatologists – cleansing, moisturizing, and protecting.

Using cleansers as a substitute to your traditional bar of soap (not formulated for the face) is more beneficial due to the following reasons:

To prevent skin dryness, several cleansers are incorporated with moisturizers. Some even has extracts of the most efficient skin vitamins. They are milder than regular soap that is why you can use it any time necessary. However, a very important complement of cleansers is moisturizers. It is imperative for the skin to be moist for it not to dehydrate. A good set of moisturizers after thorough cleansing would do the trick.
Due to the growing popularity of skin care, the variations and types of cleansers became infinite. Different brands promising this and that emerged. Special types have been developed to cater to dissimilar types of skin. Stronger cleanser have even been formulated to be suitable to people with oily skin, however they may severely dry and irritate the skin. Dry type of skin may require creamy and lotion-type face cleansers but not to the extent that it may leave the skin feeling oily afterwards. These types may be very gentle thus making it ineffective for oily and even normal skin types.

However, in choosing the perfect cleansers for your skin, you may want to try to consult a dermatologist, especially if you have a sensitive skin. Some cleansers may include varieties of fragrances and artificial coloring that you may develop allergic reactions with. Read back labels thoroughly. For example, you have a very dry skin, and dry skin would not require as much cleansing power, so you can opt to choose the ones that are alcohol free so that your face would not be dehydrated.

The more lather it produces is not always an indication of its effectiveness. Perhaps, the most expensive wouldn’t also translate to be the best facial cleansers. All cleansers contain the same basic ingredients. Sometimes it is just the packaging and marketing strategies that might own you. So, be careful.
