Do this immediately after taking a bath while your skin is still wet. Take a small amount of bath salt and spread it on your palms, then rub gently all over your body. You'll see how the bath salt massage will do wonders on your skin by removing dry skin cells and make skin silky soft. This also helps improve your blood circulation and eliminate toxins. The ideal times to have a bath salt massage are in the morning or right after sessions of physical exertion.

Bath salts also work to relieve itchy skin. Simply add a cup of table salt into your bath water in the bathtub, then soak yourself in it for several minutes. This also helps soothe you and soften your skin.

Besides working wonders on your skin, bath salts also make great facial cleansers and toners. It helps keep your face clean and clear of blemishes.

To make cleansers and toners using bath salts, combine a teaspoon of salt and one teaspoon of olive oil in a bowl, and then massage the solution gently on your face and throat (avoid contact with eyes) for about a minute. For oily skin, fill a small bottle spray with lukewarm water and 1 teaspoon salt, and with eyes closed spray on your face. Blot your face with a towel to dry.

Some bath salts can be made into fun gifts featuring different colors. The key to bath salts colors is food color. Here is a sample bath salt recipe you can do at home. Prepare 5 drops of food coloring, yellow , few drops of red food coloring, 4 drops musk fragrant or essential oils, 3 drops jasmine fragrant or essential oil, 3 cups Epsom salts, 1 cup baking soda, and as an option, 2 teaspoons liquid glycerin as a skin moisturizer.

As soon as you have the ingredients, mix Epsom salt, baking soda, and glycerin then blend well. Add in the fragrance and continue stirring until lumps are gone. Then divide the mixture equally into three bowls. Add each food coloring into each bowl and combine 2 drops of yellow and a drop of red into the third bowl. Lastly, let the salts air dry for several hours before storing them in individual jars. And there you go, your bath salts are ready to use.
